What is thiestic satanism?

Theistic Satanism is a religious belief system that venerates Satan as a deity and as a symbol of individualism, personal freedom, and rebellion against the mainstream society and religious traditions. This form of Satanism views Satan as a real entity or force, rather than a metaphorical figure or a representation of evil.

Theistic Satanists practice various rituals, such as invocations, meditation, and blood offerings, to establish a connection with Satan, to gain knowledge, and to achieve power and self-realization. They often use sigils, pentagrams, and other occult symbols in their practices, and place great emphasis on personal consciousness and individual initiative.

Theistic Satanism is not necessarily associated with criminal or violent behavior and is not the same as the popularized, media-driven notion of "Satanism" that is often associated with evil and criminal practices. However, there are some groups within theistic Satanism, such as the Order of Nine Angles, that promote extremist and dangerous ideologies including terrorism and human sacrifice, which is not representative of the larger theistic Satanism movement.
